A Special Wish Foundation is an Ohio based organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for infants, children and adolescents under the age of 21 years old, who have been diagnosed with a life-threatening illness.
They do this my granting them their one special wish; which may be receiving a special gift, travelling to a special place or meeting a special hero.
A SPECIAL WISH FOUNDATION NORTHEAST OHIO
A Special Wish Foundation Northwest Ohio is a local organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for infants, children and adolescents under the age of 21 years old, who have been diagnosed with a life-threatening illness. They do this my granting them their one Big Wish! This chapter services patients of Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital, Akron Children’s Hospital, and UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital.
They also run their Sparkles of Joy program which provides families with a local support system, in addition to fun immune-friendly experiences; their When I Grow Up program, which gives critically ill children the experience of doing their dream job for a day; and partner with local restaurants to provide food drops to inpatient wish kids receiving treatment at participating hospitals.
ANGEL FLIGHT EAST
Angel Flight East operates within the Northeastern region of the United States and provides free air transportation to eligible patients who need to travel long distances to access urgent medical care.
The organisation services Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, New York (state), Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia and Ohio, and can facilitate travel up to 1000 miles.
