ANGEL FLIGHT EAST

Angel Flight East operates within the Northeastern region of the United States and provides free air transportation to eligible patients who need to travel long distances to access urgent medical care.

The organisation services Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, New York (state), Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia and Ohio, and can facilitate travel up to 1000 miles.

CAMP CASCO

Camp Casco is a New England based organization dedicated to seeing children and young people who have been diagnosed with cancer, and their siblings thrive.

They run a number of specialised camps for childhood cancer patients and their siblings, in addition to Family Socials, where New England families facing childhood cancer can connect.

LUCY’S LOVE BUS

Lucy’s Love Bus is a non-profit organisation dedicated to delivering joy, comfort and quality of life to children with cancer and their families, through the provision of free integrative therapies such as acupuncture, massage, yoga, Reiki, art/music therapy, therapeutic horseback riding, swimming lessons, gymnastics/dance classes, personal training/gym memberships, and more.

Their services are available to anyone in New England who was diagnosed with cancer before the age of 21, regardless of their current phase of treatment or remission.

New Hampshire Family Voices

New Hampshire Family Voices provides free, confidential services to families and professionals caring for children with chronic conditions and/or disabilities. They empower and inform families, and professionals to feel confident when advocating for and making choices for children and youth in their care.

They are able to provide individual assistance by telephone, email or over social media, and can assist with navigating the healthcare system, as well as human services, education and healthcare financing systems.

They supply information and resources to help families make more informed decisions about their child’s care, and deliver training on a range of topics include healthcare financing, best practices and family/professional partnerships.

To support families in connecting with one another they also run a private Facebook group and facilitate Parent to Parent support.
