childhood cancer SUPPORT for those living in Missouri

CAMP RAINBOW

The Camp Rainbow Foundation serves families facing childhood cancer and other blood-related illnesses in St. Louis and surrounding areas, by providing camping experiences and other programs, free of charge.

They offer a number of tailored experiences including Teen Camp, Family Camp, SIBS Camp and Hospital Camp-In, giving all those affected the opportunity to create happy memories, make new friends and have a break from the every-day stresses of diagnosis and treatment.

HIS KIDS

HIS KIDS Cancer Support is a non- profit organisation dedicated to decreasing the devastation of childhood cancer through support programs, emotional health services, and emergency assistance.

They operate in the St. Louis city and metro area, serving any families who receive cancer treatments at the local hospitals.

They offer annual family networking events, emergency assistance in the form of donations to local pediatric oncology centers (donations include food, household supplies, gift cards, and holiday gifts which are distributed to cancer families in need), as well as a therapeutically based summer camp for kids with cancer and their siblings (ages 8-17), and hospital activities-games in the clinic, gifts to the parents, patients, and siblings, holiday parties, and more.

HOPE KIDS

HopeKids provides ongoing events, activities and a powerful, unique support community for families who have a child with cancer or some other life-threatening medical condition. They surround these remarkable children and their families with the message that hope is a powerful medicine.

Families with a child aged 0-18 years old, who has been diagnosed with a life-threatening illness, can apply online for their child to become a HopeKid.  Once accepted into the program, the family will receive email invitations to their free events each month.
